ATTORNEY GENERAL DENIES PRIME MINISTER’S ILLEGAL ACTION SHOWS DISRESPECT FOR DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS

I challenged the Attorney General Geoffrey Cox over the Prime Minister’s position after he was found to have been playing fast and loose with our democratic institutions by misleading the Queen and unlawfully proroguing parliament. The Supreme Court in Scotland concluded that the Prime Minister had not been honest about the reasons for proroguing Parliament.

The arrogance on display from the UK Government today is breath-taking, refusing to acknowledge any wrongdoing, despite yesterday’s unanimous Supreme Court judgement. Boris Johnson is unfit to be Prime Minister, and must go.
