INVISIBLE WOMEN

I was thrilled to receive a signed copy of "Invisible Women" the thought-provoking new book from renowned author Caroline Criado Perez where she sets out her analysis of how the world has been built by men for men.

This unconscious way of thinking means that even work environments have temperatures set at levels most comfortable for men, through to women's heart attacks going undiagnosed because symptoms are deemed "atypical". This unconscious bias can be at best inconvenient and, at worst, deadly.

I was glad that one of my favourite SNP MPs, Deirdre Brock MP, also attended this event.
