CAPALL DORCHA

I really enjoyed attending the production of Brainstorm by Capall Dorcha Theatre Company in Ardrossan Civic Centre.

This play was performed by local secondary pupils and was accepted to be performed at the Scottish Youth Theatre Festival, with Capall Dorcha being the only group representing North Ayrshire & Isle of Arran.

Brainstorm is a play about the young actors' life experiences of living in the local area and what life is like inside every adolescent brain.

Capall Dorcha was founded in 2015 and has increased participation in the arts across North Ayrshire with outreach projects to promote and support young people to engage in the arts.

To date it has supported 10,000 people in North Ayrshire and Arran through either attending a performance or taking part in a class, representing 7.4% of the regional population.

Well done to all the young people who performed so well in Brainstorm in Ardrossan, and to Capall Dorcha for all its good work in promoting the arts to our young people.
