UK GOVERNMENT WASTING BREXIT TIME AS PM FLOUNDERS

After her statement on the latest EU Council meeting, I asked the Prime Minister whether she and her EU counterparts thought the UK had heeded the EU Council and President Donald Tusk’s warning to the UK that the extension offered should not be “wasted”. I also asked what obstacles she had faced in delivering Brexit which her successor would not.

Unsurprisingly, the Prime Minister had no answers but what is clear is that the UK Government is wasting away the extension provided to it by the EU, using it to throw a Tory leadership contest where the candidates have no new ideas and are unable to say how they will protect the people of the UK from the harmful effects of a No Deal.
