LLOYDS BANKING GROUP DISCRIMINATING AGAINST SCOTTISH CUSTOMERS
I recently raised the issue of Lloyds Banking Group discriminating against customers in Scotland - Bank of Scotland - when its subsidiary bank - Halifax - offer more competitively priced rates to customers in England. This is unfair since these banks are both owned by Lloyd’s Banking Group.
Halifax operates predominantly outside of Scotland, with only three branches in Scotland, whilst the Bank of Scotland operates almost solely in Scotland, save for one branch in England. This represents clear geographical discrimination against consumers in Scotland and is deeply unfair.
I therefore called on Lloyds Banking Group to end this discrimination and offer the best products to all its customers, regardless of where they live in the UK.
