ANOTHER BROKEN PROMISE – UK GOVERNMENT STILL HAS NO DETAIL ON REPLACING VITAL EU FUNDING
The Prime Minister promised in December that a consultation would be launched by the end of 2018 on the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, yet no such consultation has taken place. The fund is intended to replace the EU Structural Funds that are used to fund projects tackling inequality and employability across North Ayrshire & Arran.
However, as Brexit approaches there is still no detail on how the U.K. Government will replace these EU funds, how they can be accessed and whether any funds forthcoming will match the lost EU funding.
The lack of detail and information on this important fund is shameful, and the Minister was unable to provide any clarity on the matter.
