WASPI CAMPAIGN CONTINUES

I was proud to address the WASPI - Women Against State Pension Inequality Campaign Cunninghame Waspi Meeting today in Bridgend Community Center in Kilbirnie. Also in attendance was local Kilbirnie Councillor Anthea Dickson and community activist Margaret Johnson who helped organise this meeting.

These women have campaigned in a very organised and dignified way in the face of shameful injustice from the UK Goverenment which has effectively stolen their pensions by raising their retirement age with little or no notice, throwing many of them into great hardship and poverty.

I and my Scottish National Party (SNP) colleagues will continue to work and campaign with these women until this injustice is rectified. In Westminster we will continue to be their voice. They are not going away.
