OFFICIAL RE-OPENING OF BRODICK CASTLE
Kenneth Gibson MSP and Patricia Gibson MP were delighted to accept an invitation to the official re-opening of Brodick Castle, Garden and Country Park on the Isle of Arran at the weekend. They were joined by The National Trust for Scotland member and community stalwart, Jim Lees.
The re-opening comes after a huge project at the historic Arran landmark.
Major work has been undertaken with the visitor experience being transformed with a more interactive and entertaining emphasis.
Staff at the castle donned period costumes, helping to give visitors a glimpse into the Victorian era, focusing on the lives of those who lived at the castle.
There was also the opportunity to enjoy some of the period's most popular arcade games as well as several rooms displaying exhibits containing sights and sounds that evoke the lives of the Hamilton family who lived there.
A visit to the Castle is a great day out and it looks like this will be a bumper year for visitors to the Castle which is a great experience for all ages.
