I was very glad to have been invited to attend the Cumbrae Parish Church Service of Dedication for the new church building.

The ecumenical service was led by Rev Tanya Webster of the Presbytery of Ardrossan and Rev Jonathan Fleming of Largs and Isle of Cumbrae.

It was a joyous service and it was lovely to meet up with friends old and new in this beautiful new church after the service.

Community stalwarts Bill and Meg Lindsay were in attendance as were so many others, including Garnock Valley community activists Margaret Johnson and husband Henry.

It was a special day for the people of Cumbrae and I was really pleased to attend and was made so welcome by all.

As we made our way back home we could not help reflecting just how beautiful the Isle of Cumbrae looks in the sunshine.
