TORIES CONTINUE TO SUPPORT FALSE CHOICE BETWEEN PRIME MINISTER’S DEAL OR NO DEAL

Last night in the chamber I challenged Conservative MP John Redwood, asking him how anyone can trust the UK Government, who for so long have claimed it is the Prime Minister’s Deal or No Deal, when it is not the case. Should the House choose to do so, it can revoke Article 50. Disappointingly, John Redwood, an ardent Brexiteer, maintained that these two options were the only options available.

We must reject the false choice that the UK Government is offering, with both the Prime Minister’s Deal and a No Deal Brexit being extremely harmful to Scotland and the UK, and both having been rejected by the House of Commons.

It is time the Prime Minister put an end to this farce which is turning the UK into an international laughing stock. We need to revoke Article 50.
