U.K. MINISTER STRUGGLES TO EXPLAIN LACK OF RESPECT FOR SCOTLAND IN BREXIT NEGOTIATIONS

In Questions to the Department for Exiting the EU, I questioned why the UK Government has continued to ignore Scotland’s voice during Brexit negotiations, when the Government has shown a willingness to provide separate arrangements for both Northern Ireland and Gibraltar. Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Gibraltar all voted to remain in the European Union, yet it is only Scotland that has been completely side-lined and ignored during negotiations with the EU, and will not get a separate deal. I also asked if he agrees with the former Tory Prime Minister John Major, who stated that Brexit strengthens the case for Scottish independence.

As you will see, the Minister failed to address the question and claimed that the UK Government was representing the whole of the UK in its negotiations.
