TORY GOVERNMENT FOUND IN CONTEMPT OF PARLIAMENT
The Tories must end their disregard for the parliamentary process, after the UK Government was found - extraordinarily - to be in contempt of Parliament at Westminster.
MPs held Theresa May's Government in contempt over its decision to publish a summary rather than the full legal advice on the EU Withdrawal Agreement.
Responding to the vote, Patricia Gibson MP said:
“This bungling Tory Government continues to stumble from one shambolic episode to another.
“Since the EU referendum more than two years ago, the Tories have side-lined the House of Commons at any given opportunity to avoid due scrutiny over its Brexit plans.
“This vote should serve as a clear sign to the Prime Minister that her crumbling government cannot continue down this road, and it must now end its duck and dive approach to the democratic parliamentary process."
