PRIME MINISTER UNABLE TO SAY HOW SHE WILL REPLACE SCOTS’ FUNDING
Today at Prime Minister’s Questions, I asked the Prime Minister about the European Structural Fund, which is worth billions of pounds to Scotland, and funds initiatives in my constituency of North Ayrshire and Arran such as those tackling poverty and promoting social inclusion.
The fund is to be replaced by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, but there is a worrying lack of detail regarding how this fund will be designed or even when it will begin.
Regrettably, when I asked the Prime Minister to provide some much needed clarity, she was simply unable to do so, meaning further uncertainty across North Ayrshire & Arran and the whole of Scotland. Scotland deserves better.
