WASPI WOMEN NEED PENSION JUSTICE

Today I brought forward and led a debate in the House of Commons on the injustice faced by 1950s born WASPI women. The approach of the UK Government to these women, who have seen their anticipated pensions vanish over the horizon, has been shameful.

It is vital that there are transitional arrangements made to support those affected, whose retirement age was extended often with little or no notice, and who are now experiencing significant financial hardship.

The UK Government think that if they ignore this issue it will go away. They are mistaken. The WASPI women will not give up on fighting this injustice, and neither will I.
