PUBLIC AND PRIVATE BODIES REFUSING TO ENGAGE WITH MPs

In Business Questions this week, I raised the matter of British Airways Chief Executive refusing to respond to letters I wrote to him from constituents to raise important and legitimate concerns.

In addition, the Chief Executive of NHS England, is also refusing to respond to concerns I raised on behalf of a constituent about a cross-border health issue.

This lack of engagement with MPs is completely unacceptable which is why I felt it necessary to name and shame them. This callous contempt towards my constituents from a private body which has a commercial contract with the House of Commons and a public body respectively cannot go unchallenged.
