THE SALE OF ANIMAL FUR IN THE UK
Yesterday I spoke out against the sale of animal fur in the UK.
The sale of fur products must be banned. Fur farms in the UK have been banned since the early 2000s but to allow fur products to enter the UK for sale has simply outsourced the barbaric practice of animals being slaughtered in the most cruel conditions, for their fur for sale in the UK. It is hypocritical to allow the sale of fur in the UK whilst banning fur farms on the grounds that they are unacceptably inhumane.
Each year around 100 million animals are killed for their fur. Consumers hugely support a ban on sales of fur products in the UK and are increasingly ethical in their choices about what to buy. It really is time the UK Government caught up. It is time to act.
