CONCESSIONARY BUS FARES

Today I spoke out about the importance of concessionary travel.

This important benefit enables and encourages more of our older and disabled people to live fuller, active lives, which is good for their physical and mental wellbeing.

The Scottish Government is extending this scheme to include Young Modern Apprentices.

However, in North Ayrshire & Arran we have suffered savage cuts to our bus services. We need to look seriously at reregulating our bus services to ensure that all communities have adequate bus services on which to use these bus passes.
