PARLIAMENTARY PETITION AGAINST RBS CLOSURE IN KILWINNING
This week I lodged my Parliamentary Petition with 559 signatures from local residents protesting against this RBS closure in Kilwinning.
These signatures were collected by myself and dedicated Kilwinning SNP activists: Jennifer McGrandles, Veronica Lewis, Sheila Gibson, Scott McCready, And Cllr Scott Davidson.
The closure of RBS Kilwinning will mean that this town of over 16,000 people will have no bank at all. The petition allowed local residents to have their say and urges the Treasury, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Royal Bank of Scotland to take into account the concerns of the petitioners and take whatever steps they can to halt the planned closure of Kilwinning RBS which is 73% owned by the taxpayer.
