AUTISM COFFEE MORNING

This weekend I attended the annual Autism Coffee Morning in Ardrossan Library organised by Suzanne Fernando and family in conjunction with The National Autistic Society Scotland during World Autism Awareness Week. This event allows those living with autism to share a cup of tea and support each other. Every individual with autism is different but what they and their families have in common is the sense of social isolation that living with autism too often leads to. That is why raising awareness and understanding of this condition is so important. Thanks to all the volunteers who also provided masses of delicious home baking, helping to make this event such a success.
