DEBATE ON THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT

Today I participated in a debate on the Marine Environment.

Whilst progress has been made this with the ban on microbeads and the introduction of Marine Protected Areas, there are still challenges. We must use our seas sustainably, protecting vulnerable marine habitats, and look after them for future generations.

We do not own the seas, we are caretakers of them. Future generations depend upon us to do so.
