Last night I spoke again in this year's Baby Loss Awareness Week debate, highlighting the progress made on the issue of stillbirth and neo-natal death since last year as a result of campaigning.
Of huge significance is the decision by the SNP Scottish Government' Cabinet Secretary for Health, Shona Robison MSP asking the Scottish Crown Office to investigate whether stillbirths at full term could be the subject of a Fatal Accident Inquiry, something I have been lobbying for and which will help lessons to be learned about these tragedies which will ultimately save babies' lives in the future.
I have urged the UK Government to do have the equivalent in England, Coroners' Inquests. Mych could be learned since the experts tell us that a baby who can survive a full pregnancy should not be born dead. Such deaths are avoidable.
