I put it to the Secretary of State for Transport that the Brexit fallout has caused a weak pound leading to significantly increased running costs and fewer travellers as well as uncertainties over the future of British carriers in Europe deterring potential buyers, have all contributed to Monarch Airlines collapse.

I sought assurances on behalf of consumers, employees and workers' rights.
