DEBATE ON TRANSPARENCY OF THE BBC

Yesterday, I spoke in a debate on the transparency of the BBC. Despite much eulogising of the BBC throughout the debate, I felt it important to give voice to the genuine concerns raised by so many about this public service broadcaster.

There is no opt out of the license fee, so, the BBC must be responsive to license fee payers' concerns if it is to have a sustainable, long term future.
