SECOND READING DEBATE IN THE AIR TRAVEL ORGANISERS' LICENCE (ATOL) BILL
On behalf of the SNP I welcomed the improved protection for holidaymakers in this Bill which updates the UK's financial protection scheme for consumers contained in the Air Travel Organisers' Licence (ATOL) Bill. However, questions remain about protraction for consumers travelling abroad post Brexit. Whilst the Minister gave assurances that such protections would remain, this is entirely dependent on reciprocal arrangements with other EU countries, which are subject to negotiation.
