SNP Double Childcare While Tories Cut Child Tax Credits

SNP DOUBLE CHILDCARE WHILE TORIES CUT CHILD TAX CREDITS
The Scottish National Party (SNP) has highlighted the stark contrast between the SNP Government's investment in childcare and Tory cuts to child tax credits.
The SNP Government is taking forward the greatest expansion of childcare and early years education ever seen in Scotland – almost doubling free provision to 30 hours a week by 2020 – while the Tories are cutting child tax credits, making life harder for working parents.
Patricia Gibson said:
"The SNP is doubling childcare to give children the best start in life and help parents in to work while the Tories are cutting child tax credits, making life harder for working parents.
"The Tories can't be trusted to help families. Policies like the two-child tax credit limit and the abhorrent rape clause illustrate that.
"A vote for the SNP on 08 June will ensure there is a strong voice in Westminster to stand up for Scotland and to stand against damaging Tory policies.
"The Tories think they can do what they want to Scotland and get away with it. The SNP won't let them."
