Visit To Ardeer Primary School

VISIT TO ARDEER PRIMARY SCHOOL, STEVENSTON

Today I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Ardeer Primary School in Stevenston to speak to the Primary 6 class about what goes on in Westminster.

We talked about the power of the Speaker, how MPs get to speak in debates and how votes are conducted in the Commons amongst other things.

The children found some of the outdated practices in the parliament quite amusing and asked some really intelligent questions.

A lovely wee school and really great children who have a healthy curiosity about the institutions that govern their lives. it was a real pleasure!
