Swap Shop In Saltcoats

I was honoured to officially open the first Saltcoats swap shop in Argyle Community Centre just before Christmas. This facility has been set up and organised by local residents Anna and Marcus Hazel-McGown and is staffed completely by volunteers, an excellent example of local folk coming together to help each other in difficult times. Parents can swap clothes which no longer fit their children for other clothes that do. The generosity of local people is clear, given the vast amount of clothes and toys which have already been donated - all in excellent condition. There will be another opportunity to use this facility in February, details of which will follow shortly.
