North Ayrshire & Arran WASPI Petition

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the SNP activists, WASPI women and, of course, my constituents for signing the WASPI petition to be presented to Parliament on Tuesday 11 October.
During the course of all our street stalls over eight days from 02-09 October, hundreds more wanted to sign this petition but because they were only visiting, were unable to since it is strictly only for North Ayrshire & Arran constituents, under parliamentary rules. Each petition is presented on a constituency basis.
All signatures were checked to ensure they are from constituents and together, we collected 2,534 which I will be proud to present.
This will help send a clear signal to the UK Government that, like so many people across the UK, people understand the unfairness in the way the WASPI women have been treated and this will help keep this important issue on the agenda and keep the pressure on the UK Government to look again at this issue. Ultimately this is about social justice.
